I chose to design my own watch my self, by ordering components that I chose and that suited the style I wanted. I really wanted a skeleton watch with no dial, and a very simple and transparent design. The mouvement that really suited this need was the TY2809. It's a cheap but reliable and good looking mouvement. I ordered the mouvement, the case, the hands and the strap separately, and assembled them myself. I also had to design the spacer inside. I have quite big arms and the case is big for the movement so I had to design myself a spacer that goes inside. I designed it in Fusion 360 and 3D printed it, tolerancing everything was quite hard as the precision of a FDM 3d printer is 0.05mm, which is not enough for this purpose. I had to trust the laws aof statistics to get the perfect tolerancing and use the elasticity of the plastic to my advantage. The result is a watch that I'm really proud of.
