MEAC portable wallet project
Age at the end of the project: 14
MEAC (Mini Entreprise Ados Coublevie) was a mini company run by the students of my middle school in 2015 and 2016. We had to create a real product from A to Z: find the idea, survey potential customers, design the product, produce it and sell it, with a sponsor from the industry to guide us.
After sorting all our ideas, we chose a wallet that attaches to a bike handlebar or a steering wheel, to pay tolls easily. I was the director of research and development and of production: I worked on the design of the wallet and organised its manufacturing, with the whole team sewing recycled denim on sewing machines. It was my first experience of a real project, and my first taste of engineering and teamwork.
